Unlike traditional grape harvest festivals, in Paks there is a special gastronomic festival in the end of September – beginning of October, which is about grape, wine, rösti and music. The 'Puttonyos' festival is more and more frequented in every year, and thanks to this event, the rösti became popular again. Visitors can participate in quality programs, see nationally famous performers and visit the gastro terrace of this event. Among citizens more and more people arrive from countryside, who also can participate in concerts and they can get to know local growers products and of course they can buy them. It is a novelty, that one week before the festival, the organizers with the local radio, keep a rösti tasting in a popular place of Paks and try to find the rösti of the year, which is an important part of the Puttonyos Festival.
