Danube bank

The beautiful promenade on the Danube bank is one of the most important part of the town. We can find more than one hundred years old reserved chesnut trees, benches, cast iron lamps, window boxes and staircase in the promenade, formerly known as the Erzsébet promenade. The Danube, with its unique environment, thick vegetation, scenic landscape, sandy beach and its promenade with old chesnut trees, strongly belong to the townscape. Since the 1990's, it is the home for the town events. This section of the Danube has a speciality, which is the barge with a water stage in front of the staircase, where amateur and professional performers get on stage.
