Tourist Information Office of Paks

The Tourist Information Office of the Municipality of Paks located in the heart of Paks near the Erzsébet Grand Hotel and the Town Museum of Paks close to the street where you can approach the Danube bank. The location in the old town was a conscious decision. The most popular hotel of the town and one of the most popular attraction, the town museum also located here. Another important thing is it is close to the Danube, some tourist arrive by kayak, canoe or by boat on the river. Also visitors who come along the bicycle lane Eurovelo nr. 6 approach the town by ferry reach first the old town from Géderlak. The office has more and more visitors every year mainly from Russia, Norway and Germany. Brochures about Paks and Tolna county in multiple languages can be found in this tourist information point. Nowadays it is not only a tourist information point but also an information point for workers and their families who arrive to Paks because of the expansion of the nuclear power plant. Visitors get information in Hungarian, English and French.
